It is my goal as Tax Collector to provide the citizens of Walton County with prompt, personalized, and friendly service. 

Our updated Web site is another way we are looking to provide you with better customer service and up-to-date information. Below are some important dates to remember.

Tax bills were mailed Monday, November 2nd. The Tax Roll opened for collection on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Individuals who pay their tax bill between January 1 and January 31 will receive a 2% discount.

Applications are now being accepted for enrollment in the Property Tax Installment Plan. The plan allows eligible taxpayers to pay their 2010 property taxes in four quarterly installments rather than one lump sum payment. View requirements and download an application form by clicking here. Applications due before May 1.

The DR405 Tangible Personal Property Tax Returns for business, condominium and tractor accounts are mailed this month.

The Property Appraiser's Office will begin assessing property.

Property Tax Exemptions can be filed with the Property Appraiser's Office until March 1.  

DMV renewals expire midnight of your birthday, except business vehicles which renew in June or trucks over 5000lbs and mobile homes which renew in December.

Visa credit and debit cards are only accepted for tax payments. Due to Visa's regulations the cards cannot be accepted for non-tax transactions.
