Walton County, FL - Rhonda Skipper, Walton County Tax Collector (WCTC), is pleased to announce a groundbreaking initiative which will provide much needed assistance to Walton County community members who are unable to visit a credentialing office in person due to physical or age-related causes. The “ID GO SOLUTION” enables the WCTC to provide Identification Card services in the home for the first time and is a result of two years of collaboration between Skippers team, Escambia Tax Collector Scott Lunsford and team, Florida Tax Collector Association (FTCA) and leaders from the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles.

“I am very passionate about The ID Go Solution. This initiative is a testament to my commitment to continuous improvement; it’s an opportunity to give back and to help preserve the dignity of our seniors, who paved the way for us. I’m extremely honored that we have made a way to bring our services to those who are physically unable to visit our office” stated Skipper.

The ID Go Solution was designed specifically to provide Identification Cards, with hopes to expand to other essential services in the future. The required documentation remains the same, the staff will need to collect and scan the appropriate documentation before issuing the ID.

WCTC staff can partner with Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Memory Care Units, and in some cases private residences to facilitate the process of obtaining a Florida ID card. Since launching the pilot program, the office has helped customers in Walton, Holmes, and Escambia Counties.

Starting soon, participating Tax Collectors around the state will be able to order their own device and offer this service,” said Skipper, ”Florida has one of the largest senior citizen populations in the country, this service will benefit so many, I look forward to seeing the numbers and hearing the stories of those we are able to help."
